5-state Day

9 augustus 2017 - College Park, Maryland, Verenigde Staten

Today was the first day of my roadtrip with Trek America. I have met my group for the first time. It's almost an all-girl group with only two boys out of 13 and only two non-native English speakers (me and a half Dutch half Canadian guy, so it's nice I have someone to talk to in Dutch). The rest of the group are all British and Australian, so my English will definitely improve. I think it will be a fun group. I am the youngest one , as expected, and the only one who can't legally drink, but I already made some friends to by alcohol for me :) . Except for the half Dutch guy (21), all the other are in their late 20's to 30's.

Today I've been to 5 states: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and now in Maryland. I've visited Philadelphia shortly. We all had lunch there: a Philly cheesesteak: french bread filled with small slices of steak and lots of cheese. I don't want to now how many calories that one contained, but it was delicious.

As it turns out, I'm currently in College Park, the part of DC where I will be studying and living from September till Christmas. I'm only 5 km away from my home and I will drop off my winter clothes and school stuff tonight and probably meet my roommates for the first time.

So far, I'm really enjoying this trip and I'm really looking forward to what's next.

Talk to you later!
